Cádiz wins direct confrontation against Valladolid and breathes in fight against Z3 in Spanish

At the opening of the 35th round of the Spanish Championship, Cádiz and Valladolid faced each other this Friday, at the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, in Cádiz (ESP). With two goals from Theo Bongonda, the hosts won by 2-0.

Thus, the team from Cádiz triumphs again after two consecutive defeats, reaching 38 points and rising from 16th to 14th place. With that, the club opens four goals apart from Getafe, the first team within the relegation zone, but still playing in the round.

On the other hand, Ronaldo Fenômeno’s team suffers the fifth consecutive defeat and, thus, is in 17th position, with 35 goals added – the distance for Getafe is one point.

For the next round, therefore, Cádiz will visit Villarreal, at 2:30 pm (Brasília time) on Wednesday, at the El Madrigal stadium, in Villarreal (ESP). The previous afternoon, starting at 5 pm, Valladolid will host champions Barcelona, ​​at the José Zorrilla Stadium, in Valladolid (ESP).

In the 33rd minute of the first half, Theo Bongonda was brought down inside the area, and the referee signaled a penalty for Cádiz. Rubén Alcaraz went for the kick, but ended up hitting the crossbar and wasting a great chance for the home team to open the scoring.

On the way back from the break, the hosts managed to open the scoring in the 25th minute. Theo Bongonda received a pass from Choco Lozano on the edge of the area and tapped it. The ball hit the crossbar before going in and scoring 1-0.

Finally, already in the final stretch, at 35 minutes, Martin Hongla received a direct red card and left Valladolid with ten on the field.
