Leyre Monente will not continue in Athletic after four seasons in Lezama

He Athletic Club announced that the forward Leyre Monente will not continue in the rojiblanco team after the end of his contract on June 30 after completing a stage four seasons in the Bilbao team.
Monente, 23, arrived in Lezama in 2015 from Logroño to join the subsidiary and in November 2016 he made his debut under Joseba Aguirre with the first team, with whom he has played 31 games and scored 2 goals.
The career of the attacker from La Rioja at Athletic has been marked by two serious injuries. In 2017 she had a torn anterior cruciate ligament in one knee for which she was out for about a year and in 2019 she underwent surgery on her right shoulder and was out of the team for five months.
