FFKKR did not approve the transfer of the Russian figure skater Dario Chirizano to the Czech national team
The Executive Committee of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) refused to change citizenship to Russian figure skater Dario Chirizano. This was announced by the director general of the organization Alexander Kogan to TASS.
Kogan stated that the ice dancing athlete was not approved in accordance with the rules of the federation. He stressed that Cirizano must undergo quarantine.
Chirizano’s plans to move to the Czech national team became known on May 7. At the same time, the skater announced that he was paired with the Czech figure skater Deniz Tsimlova. The duo will train at the Montreal Ice Dance Academy.
Chirizano is the champion of the Youth Olympic Games 2020 and the winner of the Russian Championship in 2022. Previously, for several years he performed in a duet with Irina Khavronina, but in January they stopped working on the initiative of a partner. Now she performs with David Narijny.
