A Premier League announced this Thursday the finalists for the award for the best young player of the tournament (under-23). Among the nominees is striker Gabriel Martinelli, one of the highlights of the Arsenal in the domestic league campaign this season.
In addition to the Brazilian winger, also competing for the award are Odegaard and Saka (Arsenal), Botman and Isaak (Newscastle), Caicedo and Mac Allister (Brighton), and Haaland (manchester city).
The voting counts on the participation of the public, which can participate until the 22nd of May, next Monday, and with the choice of a panel of “experts” of the competition. The award ceremony is scheduled for the 27th of this month.

The Premier League also announced the best player contenders, with De Bruyne and Haaland (Manchester City), Kane (Tottenham), Odegaard and Saka (Arsenal), Rashford (Manchester United) and Trippier (Newcastle). Guardiola (Manchester City), Arteta (Arsenal), Eddie Howe (Newcastle), Marco Silva (Fulham), Roberto de Zerbi (Brighton) and Unai Emery (Aston Villa) are vying for the manager of the tournament award.
In the English Championship 2022/23, Gabriel Martinelli participated in 36 games, with 15 goals and five assists. With that, he helped in the early classification of the team for the next Champions League. At this moment, Arsenal, which led for much of the national league, is in second place, four behind the leader, Manchester City, who have one round less.
