The court of Yekaterinburg invalidated the diploma of the President of the RBU Viktor Maygurov
The Kirov Court of Yekaterinburg invalidated the diploma of the President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maigurov, received at the Ural Institute of Commerce and Law. It is reported by TASS.
According to the source, the lawsuit was filed by the prosecutor of the Kirovsky district in defense of the interests of the Russian Federation. It is noted that the court ruled to destroy the diploma of 54-year-old Maygurov in the specialty “Jurisprudence”, received by him in 2001.
In June 2022, the chairman of the Council of the RBU, Alexander Yeslev, filed a complaint against Maygurov with the prosecutor’s office, stating that he was abusing his official position and was also engaged in illegal activities in terms of distributing financial resources. The head of the Russian biathlon denied the allegations against him.
Maygurov has been heading the SBR since 2020. In October 2022, he was re-elected for a new term.
