The Argentine strategist has a contract with the Parisian entity until 2023.
“Happy” in the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), club with which he has a contract until 2023, the coach of the Parisian team Mauricio Pochettino denied the rumors that put him on the bench Manchester United following the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“I have a contract until 2023 and I am very happy at Paris Saint-Germain. It is a fact”Said the Argentine coach at the press conference prior to the Champions League game against Manchester City.
Much of the questions from the French and British press focused on United’s alleged interest in hiring Pochettino, who has already coached Southampton and Tottenham in England, with a profile that supposedly fits Old Trafford.
“I am not a child. I’ve spent my whole life playing soccer. I have been training for more than twelve years. We are used to rumors in football. I know very well how this works, sometimes in a positive way, sometimes in a negative way. I am not distracted. The rumors are there, you have to live with it ”, insisted the Rosario.
“I’m not going to talk (about the rumors) out of respect for my club and the other club. It is not my problem what is happening at that other club (Manchester United). I’m focused on PSG ”, he insisted.
“I am very happy at PSG. I was a player here, I love the club, its fans. It’s a great time to be here”, He reiterated.
Pochettino was also reminded of statements he made about Sir Alex Ferguson, the historic Manchester United manager between 1986 and 2013: “I am not going to make that mistake. What I was able to say in the past, when I was at Espanyol in Barcelona, that my dream was to meet Ferguson, if I say it now it can be misinterpreted or taken out of context ”. (D)
