O Milanwho lost 2-0 in the first leg of the semifinals of the Europe Champions League last week, seeks a historic comeback this Tuesday (16) against Inter Milan from coach Simone Inzaghi, who wants his players with a “cold head and warm heart” to confirm the classification.
“We have to be balanced, compact and play like a team that can beat its opponents. We know how important the first goal will be, no matter the minute we score”, declared the Rossoneri’s coach, Stefano Pioli, in a press conference this Monday (15).
Milan “know they still have a great opportunity, so they are focused and determined to turn a situation where the odds are against it,” added Pioli.
“The first leg was not what we wanted, but now it’s another game,” said the coach.
A good part of the Rossoneri’s chances of turning around depend on the return of Portuguese striker Rafael Leão, who was out of last week’s game due to injury and is still in doubt.

“Leão is doing better, just like Messias and Krunic. They should train [nesta segunda-feira] and, if all goes as planned, they must be available for departure. If Leão completes training, he will be in the starting line-up”, Pioli said.
In turn, Inzaghi asked for unity between team and fans (Inter will play at home) and that the players do not get carried away by emotion against Milan.
“We all have to be together. We’ve always been united with our fans, in good times and in bad times. We need a cool head and a warm heart. It’s what we can do in games like this”, declared the interista coach.

Inzaghi also admitted that tomorrow’s game is “one of the most important in the history of Inter”, who were last in the Champions League final in 2010, when they were champions under the command of Portuguese José Mourinho.
“We have to play with our heads and hearts to achieve our dream of being in the final. We won 2-0 in the first leg, but Milan are always strong and have great players”, he concluded.
