Tarpishchev urged Medvedev to give up sweets

Tarpishchev urged tennis player Medvedev to eat less tiramisu and sweets at a tournament in Rome

President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Shamil Tarpischev called on Daniil Medvedev to give up sweets at the Masters series tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in Rome. His words are quoted by TASS.

“Tiramisu and generally sweet Dana should be limited. This can cause convulsions during matches, in general, there is a load on the spleen, ”Tarpishchev explained, noting that athletes need to control themselves and not abuse sugar.

Earlier, Medvedev, in a conversation with Tennis TV, admitted that he could not deny himself tiramisu in Rome. “I don’t think you can find bad tiramisu here. Is it possible at all. I think I already ate two,” he shared.

On May 14, the 27-year-old Russian beat Finn Emil Ruusuvuori in the second round of the tournament. The meeting ended with the score 6:4, 6:2. On May 15, the third racket of the world will play against the Spaniard Bernabé Zapata Miralles.
