Demi Vollering (SD Works) won the second stage of the Itzulia Women 2023 this Saturday May 13 and strengthened its leadership. The Dutch repeated victory and has two of two wins in this edition.

The peloton picked up the pace entering the last 10 kilometers of the stage and did so through the Movistar team. Little by little he was reducing the disadvantage compared to Steels. Thus, 5.5 kilometers from the end, on a steep slope, Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon//SRAM Racing) attacked and Demi Vollering went forward with her. In the general classification the leader Vollering increased the lead over her pursuers.
