In the fifth meeting of the series of the second round of the Stanley Cup against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the hockey player made 50 saves. Prior to this, the historic achievement belonged to Scott Clemmensen, who made 39 rescues in 2012.
The match ended in a 3-2 overtime victory for Florida. The team won their fourth win in the best-of-four series and advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Bobrovsky has been playing for Florida since 2019. In total, the 34-year-old Russian goalkeeper played 642 meetings in the NHL. This season he has played 50 matches, 24 of which ended in victory.
