Ecuador is preparing to participate in the U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Argentina, and the coach of the national team, Miguel Bravo, is trying to relieve the pressure on his students.
The Mini-Tri has a friendly match with the Dominican Republic on its schedule this Sunday, and the day after that it will face New Zealand, with whom the team will be ready for a new trip, on Tuesday in San Juan, the host city of the Ecuadorian team, in the dispute of Group B of the World Cup cup.
“The last World Cup in which Ecuador participated was a very important achievement, as it finished third. But every generation has its own expectations, we come here with enthusiasm,” said Bravo.

“These are guys who finish training, they don’t need to put a heavy backpack on their back. We want to play with enthusiasm, compete at the highest level and play everything for everyone”, the strategist added in his statements to the press.
Likewise, the coach praised the squad, which he believes has “a lot of talent” with players who stand out at their clubs.
“We have a very talented team. We gathered guys who stand out in their clubs, others who come from Europe. With my coaching staff, we are new and we had less time, but we tried to consolidate the style of play as quickly as possible”, he clarified.
“Composing the list is always complicated, the process of getting boys starts much earlier, with talks between the Association and the clubs. Many teams begged us to give us players from the 14th, 15th, 16th for domestic and international tournaments,” concluded the coach.
Ecuador share their group with Slovakia, Fiji and the United States as the top seeds, a combination that will meet on Saturday 20, in their debut. (D)
