He Tour of Italy 2023 will dispute his eighth stage Saturday may 13th. The day will have a tour of 207 kilometers between Terni and Fossombrone, with a positive unevenness of 2,500 meters.
The first section of the stage will be practically flat; however, in the final part the cyclists will come across a route that will have intense ups and downs. At kilometer 156 of the stage, there is the top of Mount Cappuccini, 4th category; there are 2.8 kilometers of ascent, with slopes always greater than 12%, and peaks, halfway, of 19%.
After the descent of the Capuccini, the cyclists will find themselves with the ascent of the Monte delle Cesane, 2nd category. It will be a 7.8 kilometer climb, with an average slope of 6.5%, but it also has ramps with peaks of 18%.
With 10 kilometers to go, the runners will go up the Cappuccini again, and, once crowned the pass, they will face the descent, to enter the last kilometer and a half, which is flat, although the last 700 meters sting upwards.
