Euskaraz irakurri: Van Vleuten eta Vollering, ostiral honetan hasiko den Emakumeen Itzulia irabazteko faborito nagusiak

Annemiek van Vleutenthe best runner in recent years, and demi volleringthe current winner of the race, world number 1 and dominator this season, will reissue this weekend in the Itzulia Women 2023, from Friday the 12th to Sunday the 14ththe agonizing duel that they had the previous week in the Back to Spain.

Van Vleuten and Vollering lead a participation with the best of the international peloton, 120 runners from 20 teams advancing show for three stages of a test that has the highest category UCI World Tour. One for each Basque territory, the first Biscayanthe second alavesa and the third Gipuzkoan.

The tour presents seven mountain passes, one from the First category, two from the Second and four from the Third. The most important are those of the last stage with start and finish in San Sebastián (114.8 km). They will be Jaizkibel (First; 7.9 km at 5.6% unevenness) and the Murgil wall (Second; 4.1 to 7.3 and sections of up to 20%). The top of the latter about 30 km from the finish line.

An important point in the race is also outlined, the Urkaregi pass (Second; 5.8 to 4.6%), located just 8 km from the finish line of the first stage, a 122.2 km route on Friday between Etxebarria and Markina-Xemein.

Less significance is presumed for the second stage, a route almost downhill between Vitoria-Gasteiz and Amurrio of 133.2 km with slopes in the initial part and in the final. The first two stages will be held in the morning and the third in the afternoon.
