FIFA launches the #Somos26 campaign and sets a date to present the brand for the next World Cup

This Thursday, FIFA launched the #Somos26 campaign for the brand presentation of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held with a big party in Los Angeles next Wednesday. In an unprecedented way, the competition, in its 23rd edition in history, will be played in three countries: United States, Mexico and Canada.

At next Wednesday’s event, the countdown will also begin with projections, activities and digital transmissions in the other venues of the three organizing countries, which will give fans a new opportunity to participate in the official brand presentation.

Expectations have been growing since FIFA and the 2026 World Cup host countries presented the #Somos26 campaign, an action that encourages people, municipalities and communities to actively participate in the presentation. The campaign will include portraits and images of significant locations from this World Cup, embodying the essence of what awaits fans three years from now and inviting the world to be part of #Somos26.

“The official branding offers fans an all-new emblem, typeface and color palette – three exciting elements that will bring the tournament to life for months and years to come. But it also goes further because we will provide endless opportunities for communities and our business partners to tell their own stories. A local fan, an international star or a famous place… The brand will highlight the unique aspects and the inclusive and diverse character of the first 48-team World Cup”, announced the Director of the Commercial Division of FIFA, Romy Gai.

In addition to the tournament’s official brand, FIFA has created a bespoke brand for each of the 16 host cities in an unprecedented effort to unite the fans and cultures of Canada, Mexico and the United States. Each will embody its own history and cultural heritage, which millions of fans around the world will see firsthand when the competition begins.

Fans in the 16 host cities will be able to enjoy a series of commercial activations next Thursday, when each venue will display the works of art. Fans are encouraged to join in the festivities and use the hashtags #FIFAWorldCup and #Somos26 to join in the celebration.

The 2026 World Cup will be the biggest sporting event in history. Three host countries, 16 venues, 48 teams and 104 matches will unite an entire continent in an unprecedented exhibition to bring the greatest football spectacle in history to the world. This will make the competition the most inclusive and diverse in history, drawing millions of fans to all 16 stadiums and uniting billions of people around the world.
