Santiago Morales, the manager of Independiente del Valle, was upset this Thursday by the claims of colleagues from the heads of other entities who accused those from Sangolquí of taking “talents” from other teams.
In recent days, Luis Alfonso Chango, president for life of Mushuc Runa, pointed out to Michel Deller, the general manager of the striped team, about the “removal of talent”.
“He’s a scout (alluding to Deller), but not from every team. That happened to me three years ago, it seems to me, they took away my talent,” said Čango.
And to that Morales replied: “I feel very frustrated, more so because these are people who know how we work.” We negotiated several times with our friend (Carlos) Alfaro Moreno (president of Barcelona SC). Listening to Mr. Chang speak with that Michel (Deller) brashness. Michel certainly has no idea which player he is talking about.”
“We are talking about stealing talent here, how can we steal talent if it is registered in a club? When we have interest in a player, we will talk to the club. They use those ‘robbery’ words. They accuse us of being thieves, but let them prove it!” added the presenter in the conversation with mach sports.
Morales spoke about the budget that the club allocates for its trainings and the schools they have in the country.
“30% of the total budget of the club is intended for our trainings. We have 60 schools across the country and 60 schools that are allies,” he concluded. (D)
