The head of the UFC White said that the diary of the deceased female MMA fighter Lipp broke his heart
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) commented on the death of an American mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Shaylie Lipp.
“Shailey’s mom found her daughter’s diary. At the end of each entry, she wrote: “Dana White will know my name.” And now I know her name. This story broke my heart,” he said. The head of the UFC offered condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Lipp died in a car accident on May 9 at the age of 21. The police said that the athlete was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. It is noted that she was the only victim of the accident.
On May 20, Lipp was scheduled to fight at Ignite No Mercy 11 in the USA. This fight was supposed to lead the tournament. During her career, the athlete won three victories and suffered two defeats.
