Experienced goalkeeper Manuel Neuer returned this Thursday to training for the Bayern Munchen after five months away from the pitch. The 37-year-old broke his right leg last December while skiing and is out for the rest of the current season.
“The next step! Manuel Neuer is back on the pitch,” published Bayern’s official profile on social media followed by a video of the goalkeeper training.

Neuer also spoke about his return and said he was satisfied with his recovery and is focused on moving forward with his rehabilitation.
“I’m very satisfied. We haven’t set a target. I’m trying to do everything I can to get the most out of it so I can progress and move forward as quickly as possible,” he commented.
Without their main goalkeeper, Bayern Munich went after a replacement for Neuer on the market and hired Yann Sommer, formerly of Borussia Monchengladbach and holder of the Swiss national team.
