Mbappé’s stance in the victory Paris Saint Germainlast weekend, against Montpellier by 5 to 2, for the French Championship, continues to have repercussions in Europe. This time, former player Wayne Rooney criticized the Frenchman, who bumped into Lionel Messi during the confrontation.

“A nearly 24-year-old player bumping into Messi? I’ve never seen a bigger ego than this in my life. Someone needs to remind Mbappé that, at 24, Messi was already on his way to his fourth Ballon d’Or,” said Rooney.

According to the French press, the atmosphere behind the scenes at PSG would be troubled, with Mbappé dissatisfied with not being the protagonist of the team, given Neymar’s great start to the season.

The Frenchman has yet to comment on the matter. The Brazilian, however, liked some comments on Twitter, where they stated that shirt 10 should be the team’s official penalty taker.

It is worth remembering that in the match against Montpellier, PSG had two charges in their favor. In the first, Mbappé missed. In the second, Neymar took the ball and even with the Frenchman asking to hit, the Brazilian took responsibility and converted.
