O Milan can enter the field in the semifinals of the Champions League against Inter Milan without one of their key players. On the eve of the duel, coach Stefano Pioli updated Rafael Leão’s physical condition and did not guarantee the Portuguese’s presence in this Wednesday’s confrontation.
“If he’s fine, he’ll be called up, if not, he won’t. Rafa has unique characteristics, if it doesn’t work, we’ll play with other resources”, said the Italian in a press conference this Tuesday.
Leão suffered a thigh muscle injury during the game against Lazio, last Saturday for Italian Championship. In training, the left winger did individual work on the pitch and is still a doubt for both the first and second matches.

“Today he worked, tomorrow he will try to push and push a lot to understand if he can be part of the match. If I call him up, it’s because he will be able to play”, clarified Pioli, indicating Salemaekers as a possible replacement for Leão.
The first game will be hosted by Milan and will take place this Wednesday at 4 pm (Brasília time). The return will also take place at the San Siro, in Milan, but this time with a majority of Inter fans. The decision of the duel is scheduled for next Tuesday (16).
