The coach of the Russian national boxing team said that the team at the World Cup is friendly with foreigners

The head coach of the Russian national boxing team, Viktor Farkhutdinov, spoke about how foreign rivals treat the team at the World Championship in Tashkent. It is reported by “Match TV”.

“Our team has a friendly attitude, there are no moments. We communicate amicably with everyone, there are no disagreements,” said Farkhutdinov. He also stressed that Russian boxers are especially pleased to perform with their own flag and anthem.

On April 4, it became known that the UK team was boycotting the World Boxing Championship due to the admission of Russians and Belarusians under their national flags. The British stressed that the decision of the International Boxing Association (IBA) contradicts the position of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) regarding the participation of athletes from these countries.

On October 5, the IBA allowed boxers from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions under the auspices of the organization. Athletes are allowed to compete under national flags, and if they win, the national anthem will be played. The World Boxing Championship takes place from April 30 to May 14 in Tashkent.
