The president of the CSKA basketball club Andrey Vatutin spoke about the condition of the beaten basketball player of the team Alexei Shved. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the functionary, the player continues to undergo treatment in the hospital, and the release date will be known after May 9. “The state of his health is gradually improving, but so far he has been prescribed bed rest and some activities are contraindicated,” Vatutin said.
On May 5, a court in Moscow arrested four suspects in beating a basketball player. 20-year-old Prince Amirslanov, his 17-year-old brother Ramzin, their driver Yusuf and 19-year-old Pisarev were sent to a pre-trial detention center until July 2. The defendants were charged under Part 2 of Article 213 (“Hooliganism committed by a group of persons with the use of violence against citizens”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The attack on Shved became known on May 2. As a result of a fight at the entrance to a restaurant in the center of Moscow, the basketball player received a head injury. At the hospital, he was also diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, a fracture of the temporal bone, and an epidural hematoma.
