UFC head Dana White says fighters don’t want to fight Umar Nurmagomedov
The president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White, said that the representatives of the promotion did not want to fight Umar Nurmagomedov, the cousin of the Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov. It is reported by “Championship”.
βIt is always difficult to organize a fight for a guy who is on the way to the top ten, because those who are ahead of him do not want to risk their place in the rankings,β said the head of the promotion. He also noted that many may agree publicly to a fight with Nurmagomedov, but then refuse in a private conversation.
On September 14 last year, it was reported that Nurmagomedov signed a new contract with the organization for several fights. βI am very happy about this adventure and I want to thank all the people involved in it,β said the fighter.
Umar Nurmagomedov has 16 wins and no losses in MMA. He has four fights in the UFC.
