De Gea misses and Manchester United lose to West Ham in the Premier League

This Sunday, the Manchester United lost to West Ham by 1-0, at the Olympic Stadium in London, for the 35th round of the English Championship. The visitors dominated much of the game, but failed to convert the chances created, and a mistake by De Gea cost the three points.

With the result, Manchester United remain in fourth place with 63 points and can be overtaken by Liverpool in the next round. West Ham, on the other hand, is in 15th place with 37 points and is moving away from the relegation zone, opening seven for Nottingham Forest, the first team in the degola.

Manchester United returns to the field next Saturday, at 11 am (Brasília time), in a clash against Wolverhampton, at Old Trafford, for the Premier League. West Ham, in turn, plays again this Thursday against AZ, at the Olympic Stadium in London, at 4 pm, for the semi-final of the Conference League.

The visitors dominated the start of the match and created good chances, but, in the 26th minute of the first half, striker Said Benrahma stole the ball in the attack and hit weakly, from outside the area. Badly positioned, De Gea did not reach the ball, which went into the right corner of the goalkeeper.

Manchester went up to the attack and pressed again, with 65% possession, but failed to convert the chances into a goal. The open spaces allowed the opponent to counterattack, who even scored twice, but had the goals disallowed for foul and offside, respectively. In the final stretch, West Ham retreated and held the result.
