Belgian coach Vincent Kompany has signed a new contract until 2028 with Burnley, who this season gained access to the England top flightannounced the club this Sunday.
“After winning the Championship title in his first season at Turf Moor, the manager has signed a new five-year contract,” the club wrote in a statement.
“I felt good at Burnley and Turf Moor practically from the start, so it seems logical to me to sign for the next five years,” explained the former Belgian defender, quoted in the statement.

Burnley, relegated a year ago, has 98 points in 45 rounds and is ten points clear of second place in the Championship, Sheffield United, who also mathematically guaranteed their promotion.
The team will receive the champion’s trophy on Monday, in the duel against Cardiff.
