A decision by Watford, from England, can have a lot of repercussions on Fluminense when it involves striker João Pedro, who creates the Tricolor base categories. The English club turned down a £20m bid from Newcastle for the player.

As the club that trains the athlete, Fluminense is entitled to a percentage of the negotiation. The amount would be an amount of 10% of the difference between the total that Watford would receive for João Pedro and what the English club paid to Cariocas.

When Fluminense sold the player to Watford, the English club paid 11.5 million euros (about R$60 million at the current price). Thus, the difference between the amount paid to Tricolor and that received by Watford, if he accepted the negotiation, would be more than R$60 million, that is, Tricolor would have more than R$6 million.

Newcastle’s bid information was given by the English press. However, Watford believes they can get a bigger amount in the future and still count on João Pedro in the Championship campaign (Second Division of England).
