PSG head coach Christophe Galtier has spoken out about the suspension of Argentine striker Lionel Messi from the team. It is reported by RMC Sport.
The specialist stressed that the decision was made by the club’s management. “I was informed about it, and I obey. When Leo returns, we’ll see what happens,” Galtier said.
On May 2, it became known about the decision of PSG to remove Messi from training and matches for two weeks for a trip to Saudi Arabia. The athlete went there as a tourism ambassador of an Arab country, without warning the team management.
Messi signed a contract with PSG in August 2021, it runs until June 2023 with the option of a one-season extension. Prior to that, the striker played for Barcelona throughout his career, in which he won the Spanish championship ten times and won the Champions League four times.
