The Portuguese left-back Paris Saint GermainNuno Mendes, who injured his thigh on Sunday against Lorient, will not play again this season, the Parisian club announced this Wednesday.
“Victim of an injury to his right thigh during the last game against Lorient, Nuno Mendes will not return to competition before the end of the season,” PSG said in a medical statement on Wednesday.
After having entered the field in the second half against Lorient (PSG’s 3-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes), Nuno Mendes was injured in the final stretch of the game, a “muscle injury”, had indicated the Parisian coach Christophe Galtier after the match.
The 20-year-old Portuguese injured his other thigh, his left, during the World Cup in Qatar and had been sidelined until the end of January.
The list of injured players who will not play again this season is completed by Neymar, Presnel Kimpembe and Nordi Mukiele.
