American hockey player Broadhurst was denied the sale of skates due to work in the “Avant-garde”
American hockey player Alex Broadhurst was denied the sale of skates because of his work in the Continental Hockey League (KHL) Avangard club. His words are quoted by Sport-Express.
“Bauer and CCM gear is simply unobtainable. Broadhurst wanted to order two pairs of Bauer skates before leaving for Russia. But as soon as he signed a contract with Avangard, they refused to fulfill the order, ”said Alexei Volkov, general manager of Avangard. He added that due to the increase in individual expense items, the club’s budget had to be reduced.
Vanguard signed Broadhurst on 23 June. It is noted that the agreement is designed for a year.
On March 8, the National Hockey League (NHL) suspended contacts with representatives of the KHL. The League demanded that the clubs stop direct and indirect contacts with representatives of the KHL teams. Now NHL teams will not be able to easily sign free agents from the KHL.
