2016 Olympic track and field champion Tori Bowie has died at the age of 32. This is reported in Twitter sports agency Icon Management.

The agency that represented the interests of the athlete said that they had lost a client and a dear friend. “Tori was a beam of light that shone so brightly! We are truly heartbroken and our prayers are for her family and friends,” they wrote. Bowie’s cause of death has not been released.

According to sportsmax.tv, the athlete’s body was found in Florida. It is noted that Bowie could have committed suicide.

The athlete became the Olympic champion in the four hundred meters relay in Rio. She also won a silver medal in the 100 meters and a bronze medal in the 200 meters. In 2017, the American became the world champion in the 100-meter race and won in the sprint relay.
