L’Equipe: Saudi Arabia prepares new offer for PSG player Lionel Messi
Saudi Arabia is preparing a new offer for Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi. It is reported by L’Equipe.
As it became known to the source, the country is preparing “the biggest offer in the history of football.” It is noted that the contract with the player will be for several years. One of the main contenders for the striker is the Al-Hilal club.
On May 2, it became known about the decision of PSG to remove Messi from training for two weeks for a trip to Saudi Arabia. On April 5, it was reported that Al-Hilal had made a formal offer to the Argentine. Team owners are willing to pay Messi 400 million euros a year.
Messi signed a contract with PSG in August 2021, it runs until June 2023 with the option of a one-season extension. Prior to that, the striker played for Barcelona throughout his career, in which he won the Spanish championship ten times and won the Champions League four times.
