The suspects in the attack on CSKA basketball player Alexei Shved told the details of the fight. The video of the interrogation of the suspects was published by the Mash Telegram channel.

One of the suspects said that the fight happened because of the athlete’s wife, with whom he had a verbal skirmish, after which Shved stood up for her. “He came up and touched me, then I took him by the jacket and made a sweep. He landed on the floor. I looked at his friend who was behind me because I didn’t feel safe. Then a blow came to the Swede from behind my back, ”he recalled the details of what happened.

The second suspect added that several other basketball players were involved in the fight with Shved. “When it turned into a personal challenge towards us, mainly towards my friend, he began to answer the girl, then the Swede heard this, came out and began to protect her,” he said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the arrest of three suspects in the attack on Shved. A criminal case was initiated under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing grievous bodily harm with the use of objects used as weapons”).

The attack on Shved became known on May 2. As a result of a fight at the entrance to a restaurant in the center of Moscow, the basketball player received a head injury. At the hospital, he was also diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, a fracture of the temporal bone, and an epidural hematoma.
