UFC fighter Jones said he would consider holding a duel with Pavlovich for a high fee
American mixed martial artist (MMA) Jon Jones called the condition for the duel with the Russian Sergey Pavlovich. His words are quoted by Fox Sports.
The champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in heavy weight noted that Pavlovich is a big challenge, but he is not so famous and popular. He described the possible duel as “high risk, very low reward”.
Jones, 35, who tops the list of the promotion’s top fighters, added that he would consider hosting the bout for a high fee. “Perhaps the UFC will offer the right amount, and we will be able to make the fight with Sergey. But right now I have all the achievements, and I don’t need to prove anything, ”he said.
On April 23, Pavlovich won his sixth consecutive victory in the UFC, being stronger than the American Curtis Blaydes. The fight ended with a technical knockout in the first round. In total, 30-year-old Pavlovich had 18 fights in his career, 17 of which ended in his favor.
On March 5, Jones defeated Frenchman Cyril Gan via submission in the first round at UFC 285 in Las Vegas. Previously, the American did not perform for three years. In total, in MMA, Jones won 27 victories and suffered one defeat. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid.
