After leaving the field with pain in the match against Manchester City, Andreas Pereira performed tests that found a fracture in his right ankle. Fulham released the diagnosis this Tuesday and revealed that the Brazilian will have to undergo surgery.

“Andreas has broken his ankle and will undergo surgery today. After surgery and during rehabilitation we will be able to provide more information on when he is likely to return to action later this year,” the London club wrote in a statement.
That way, Andreas Pereira is out of the rest of Fulham’s season and may be embezzled until the end of 2023, missing the start of next season. The club occupies the 10th place in the Premier League and fights for a place in European competition.
After standing out for Flamengo in 2021, Andreas caught the attention of Fulham, who negotiated his transfer to English football paying around 10 million pounds to the Manchester United. For the new club, the Brazilian scored 5 goals and gave 6 assists, being one of the best players of the London team in the season.
In addition to Andreas Pereira, Fulham also lost defender Tim Ream to injury in the game against Manchester City. The American broke his right arm and will also undergo surgery, but his return to the pitch should be during the pre-season, in August.
