CSKA lost to Lokomotiv-Kuban and for the first time in history was left without the VTB United League final
CSKA Moscow lost to the Lokomotiv Kuban club in the seventh match of the VTB United Basketball League playoff semifinal series. The results are available on the organizers’ website.
The meeting was held in Moscow at the Megasport stadium and ended with a score of 103:100 in overtime in favor of the guests. Thus, Lokomotiv-Kuban won the fourth victory in the best-of-four series, and CSKA was left without the VTB United League final for the first time in history.
The red-blues failed to win the title for the second year in a row – last season the club lost to Zenit St. Petersburg in the final. CSKA is a ten-time winner of the VTB United League and an eight-time winner of the Euroleague.
Lokomotiv-Kuban will face the winner of the match between UNICS Kazan and Zenit in the final. Their decisive meeting will take place on May 2.
