Coach José Mourinho has always been known for his spontaneity. This time, the Portuguese revealed at a press conference that he would present Felix Afena-Gyan, a young Roma player, if the 18-year-old Ghanaian scored a goal in the last game against Genoa, in the Italian Championship.
The match was tied at 0-0 when, 29 minutes into the second half, the coach put the Ghanaian on the field. Felix scored two goals and gave the victory to Roma, who now occupy the fifth position of the Italian.
“If he scored, I promised to buy a very expensive sneaker. I can’t say the brand, but they cost around 800 euros and he went to the bank to remind me about it. Tomorrow morning, I’ll take care of it,” said the Portuguese.
On his social networks, Felix Afena-Gyan thanked the commander and posted a video receiving the gift.
I’m extremely delighted. Grateful to Mister #JoseMourinho @ASRomaEN ????❤ pic.twitter.com/SPuRpZlpjo
