Weightlifter Koklyaev advised beginners to work out in the gym with a coach to avoid injury

Eight-time Russian weightlifting champion Mikhail Koklyaev named the most common mistakes newcomers make in the gym. His words are quoted by Sport-Express.

“One of the common mistakes of people who just came to the gym is the desire to lift more weights. First you need to acquire a skill, technique, and then gradually increase the working weights, ”Koklyaev said. He recommended training with a trainer at the initial stage in order to avoid injuries and build a training plan correctly.

Another mistake, according to Koklyaev, is the purchase of expensive inventory and equipment. The athlete noted that for training in the gym it is enough to have good changeable shoes, comfortable sportswear, a special belt for lifting weights, belts for the barbell, warming ointment and basic hygiene products.

On April 11, fitness trainer Maxim Nagibin named the best exercises with which you can work on your biceps. The specialist highlighted the barbell forearm curl, the Scott bench EZ bar curl, and the TRX forearm curl.
