Cherchesov called Ferencváros players the best in the world after being eliminated from the Champions League
The head coach of the Hungarian Ferencváros Stanislav Cherchesov commented on the defeat from Qarabag in the Champions League qualification. His words leads Origo.
The 58-year-old specialist noted that Qarabag looked like a dominant side and won a well-deserved victory. “From the very beginning, we did not approach the match properly. And it didn’t go as we planned,” he stressed. The Russian called his players the best in the world.
Ferencváros was defeated by Qarabag in the second leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League, which led to the team’s elimination from the draw. The Hungarian club lost with a score of 1:3. The team will compete in the Europa League qualification.
The Russian coach headed Ferencvaros on December 20. Since 2016, Cherchesov has been the head coach of the Russian national team.
