The entity that regulates football on the continent, Conmebol announced, this Monday, the confirmation of the dates for the finals of the 2023 South American competitions. November 4tha Saturday, at Maracanã.
The big decision of the Copa Sudamericana, in turn, will take place a week earlier, at October 28th. The match will be played in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Conmebol released the complete calendar of its sports schedule. The knockout draw for both tournaments will take place on July 21. The remainder of the knockout phase of the two competitions will also have an identical schedule, with the exception of the decision.
The Round of 16 will be played on August 2 and 9; Wednesdays, on the 23rd and 30th of the same month. The semifinals take place on September 27 and October 4.
Brazil is represented by seven teams in this edition of Libertadores. Palmeiras (champion), Internacional, Fluminense, Corinthians, Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG qualified for the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo completed the sextet as champion of the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores in 2022.
In the Sul-Americana, the country has America-MG, Botafogo, Goiás, Fortaleza, RB Bragantino, Santos and São Paulo as representatives.
