The head of the Polish Olympic Committee, Radoslav Pesevich, spoke about a possible boycott of the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. It is reported by RMF.

“I can’t imagine that our athletes couldn’t fight for medals, make their dreams come true, give us joy, so such decisions need to be made wisely,” Pesevich said, adding that a possible boycott by the Poles of the competition will please the Russians.

On March 31, the government of Ukraine banned Ukrainian athletes from participating in the qualifying competitions for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris along with the Russians. Earlier, the IOC recommended that members of the national teams of Russia and Belarus, who did not support the special operation in Ukraine, be admitted to the competition in a neutral status.

At the end of February 2022, most sports organizations suspended the national teams of Russia and Belarus on the recommendation of the IOC. The decision on the participation of representatives of these countries in the 2024 Olympics has not yet been made.
