Olympic ice dancing champion Roman Kostomarov, who has been in the hospital since January, is on the mend. New details of the recovery process leads TASS.
The source of the agency said that the condition of the 46-year-old athlete remains stable, all his indicators are normal. “Does recovery exercises, misses home,” he added.
On April 17, information appeared that Kostomarov would have to undergo several operations. It was clarified that surgical intervention is necessary before prosthetics. Earlier, RBC reported that the skater would be discharged from intensive care in the next two months.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, the figure skater was amputated with both feet, then the shins of both legs, the entire right hand, and several fingers of the left hand.
