Magomed Ismailov said that he was interested in the second fight against Alexander Shlemenko
Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Magomed Ismailov spoke about holding a rematch with compatriot Alexander Shlemenko. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“We had a close fight, a good confrontation. I can’t say that I’m not interested in a rematch – there was a lot of attention to our fight. And I agree with Shlemenko (that for us in Russia there is only one way – to the second fight), ”Ismailov said.
On December 3, Ismailov defeated Shlemenko by unanimous decision at the RCC 13 tournament in Yekaterinburg. Athletes competed for a special RCC belt.
36-year-old Ismailov won 18 victories and suffered 3 defeats in his professional career, one more duel with his participation ended in a draw. The 38-year-old Shlemenko has 61 won fights with 15 defeats and one draw. Another of his fights was declared invalid.
