UEFA announced on Friday that it will not increase the price of tickets for the final of the Champions League, scheduled for June 10, in Istanbul, Turkey. In this way, the price will be the same as the decision of the last edition, between Real Madrid and Liverpool, held in Paris, France.
There will be 4 ticket categories for the event. The cheapest tickets will cost 70 euros (about R$ 390 reais). The most expensive ones will cost €690 (around R$3,820).
With this decision to avoid raises, UEFA hopes to avoid the problems that occurred in the last final. Several fans tried to invade the stadium or steal tickets, which forced the police to adopt a more energetic stance to avoid a tragedy.
Due to this turmoil, UEFA will reimburse 19,618 Liverpool fans who were unable to attend last year’s fixture in Paris.
