Valencia draws goalless with runners-up Real Sociedad for Espanyol; Betis beats Elche

This Sunday, the Valencia tied with Real Sociedad, away from home, without goals. The match, valid for the 14th round of the spanish championship, was played at the Reale Arena.

With the result, the Valencian club is in the middle of the table: it occupies the 10th position and has 18 points. The Basque team, with 29, is the vice-leader of the national competition.

Valencia returns to the pitch on Saturday, at 12:15 pm (GMT), when it hosts Rayo Vallecano. On Thursday, at 5 pm, Real Sociedad will face the Monaco, out of the house, by the Europa League.

The game – The first half was played by the home team, who controlled possession and finished more. However, the team commanded by Imanol Alguacil Barrenetxea was unsuccessful in hitting the target.

In the complementary, less creative stage, Sociedad’s superiority persisted. The Valencia de José Bordalás, in turn, also attacked little, but was solid defensively. Thus, the score was not changed and the match, very disputed, ended in a goalless draw.

Betis wins Elche

Also this Sunday, the Real Betis they beat Elche, away from home, by 3-0. Juanmi, 12 minutes into the first half, opened the scoring at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium. The Brazilian Willian José, with a penalty, extended the advantage at 24, while Nabil Fekir, at 27, scored the last goal.

With the triumph, Betis occupies the 5th position and has 24 points. Elche, with 11, is in 18th place and is the first team in the relegation zone.

Real Betis returns to the field on Thursday, at 2:45 pm (GMT), when it hosts Ferencvaros, from Hungary, for the Europa League. Elche, in turn, will face Osasuna, away from home, on Monday (29), at 17:00.
