American Kevin Lee, known for his performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), converted to Islam. Mixed style fighter (MMA) Umar Kunakbiyev spoke about this on social networks.
Kunakbiev, who plays with Lee in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC league, confirmed that he saw the American athlete at Friday prayers. According to the Russian, Lee converted to Islam three months ago.
The former UFC fighter made his Eagle FC debut on March 11 at a tournament in Miami. He defeated UFC veteran Diego Sanchez.
In February, Lee admitted that Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC earns more than some UFC champions. He also stressed that the organization has a high level of competition between fighters.
