Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva showed photos from her vacation in the Maldives. She published a post on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).

Earlier, Medvedeva explained why she decided to end her career. “I objectively looked at myself from the outside – assessed whether I can or can’t in terms of physical capabilities,” she said and added that she wants to take care of her health.
Medvedeva is a two-time world and European champion. At the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, the figure skater won two silver medals – in team competitions and in the individual competition. In 2021, she announced that she had effectively retired.
