This Friday, Luis Suárez scored his first goal for Nacional, from Uruguay, since his return to the club after leaving the Atletico Madrid. The striker scored the third goal of the 3-0 triumph over Rentistas, in the second round of the Uruguayan Championship.
Suárez’s goal came in the 14th minute of the second half. The player headed into the back of the net after a corner kick.
In the first half, Nacional had already managed a two-goal lead. Jose Luis Rodriguez and Ignacio Ramirez scored in the fourth and 42nd minute, respectively.
Nacional won their first victory in the competition, as they lost in the first round. Now, Luis Suárez’s team returns to the field next Tuesday, against Atlético-GO, for the return game of the Sudamericana quarterfinals, and needs to reverse a score from 1 to 0 won by Dragon in the first leg to advance.
