Arsenal arrived well after just four minutes. Gabriel Jesus made a good move in the area, dribbling the mark and played for Martinelli, but the striker couldn’t finish on target. At 20 minutes, the gunners opened the scoring with a goal by Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli. Saka took a corner in the area, Zinchenko fixed it and Martinelli headed in to open the scoring. Crystal Palace reacted in the final stretch, with Edoaurd, who headed in danger, and saw Ramsdale save.

On the return to the second stage, Arsenal saw Palace press a little more and occupy spaces in the attacking field. Eze received from Zaha and finished on goal, but Ramsdale made another good save. Shortly after, Odegaard took a direct free-kick and sent it close to Guaita’s crossbar. Despite pressure from Palace, Arsenal expanded to 40 with Guehi’s own goal. Saka crossed in the area and the defender sent it against his own patrimony.
