Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka spoke about the improvement in the condition of Roman Kostomarov. Her words are quoted by Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“As before, he spoke with humor, I felt it. Most importantly, there was optimism in his voice. He has not lost his former fortitude. Roma is alive and recovering, already mentally healthy. Well, the rest is a matter of time, ”Navka said.
Earlier, the former athlete said that Kostomarov called her to congratulate her on her birthday.
On April 17, information appeared that Kostomarov would have to undergo several operations. It was clarified that surgical intervention is necessary before prosthetics. Earlier, RBC reported that the 46-year-old skater would be discharged from intensive care in the next two months.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, the figure skater was amputated with both feet, then the shins of both legs, the entire right hand, and several fingers of the left hand.
