Candidates for Manchester United head coach announced

The management of Manchester United is looking for a replacement for the Norwegian Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer, who had previously left the post of head coach of the club. Sky Sports reported.

The Red Devils would like to see Mauricio Pochettino at the helm of the team. However, the Mancunians realize that in the near future they will not be able to lure the specialist who is currently running Paris Saint-Germain. The main candidates for the post Sky Sports names the French specialist Zinedine Zidane, known for his work at Real Madrid, Brendan Rogers from Leicester City and the Dutchman Eric ten Hag, who heads Ajax.

Solskjaer’s resignation from office became known earlier on November 21. According to media reports, the management decided to part with the specialist, also taking into account the mood of the Portuguese team leader Cristiano Ronaldo, who was disappointed with the latest performances of the team.

The 1-4 defeat to Watford was the last match for Solskjaer. After the game, the management of the Mancunians held an emergency meeting, during which it was decided to get rid of the coach.

Solskjaer is a former United player. He took over the club in December 2018. Then he was appointed acting. Since March 2019, the Norwegian has led the team on a permanent basis.
