This Monday, the Liverpool thrashed Leeds by 6 to 1in a match valid for the 30th round of the English Championship. At the end of the game, Jurgen Klopp, coach of Redswas satisfied with the performance of his team.
“Controlling the game, we made Leeds make a lot of mistakes. [Marcamos] Sensational goals. We pressed like we haven’t done in a long time. In the 92nd minute we lost the ball and four players went to get it, which was amazing and exactly what we wanted. That was our best game of the season, in many ways,” said the German to SkySports.

Klopp also commented on what to expect from his team for the rest of the season.
“If we don’t achieve anything this season, we have to put in good performances. I think like that, instead of worrying about where we’ll end up. I have no idea where we’ll end up, but that’s not so important. I’d like to see us with the same desire, with the same passion and understanding we showed today. It’s our job to find that consistency. That’s why we need all the results and performances so that we can build something new, a little bit different.”

Liverpool is not having a good season, and is no longer fighting for titles. The team is in eighth place in the English Premier League, with 50 points, just six behind Tottenham, which opens the qualification zone for the European Leagues.
With eight games remaining in the competition, Klopp’s men still believe in a place for the next edition of the Champions League and cling to the results against the leader Arsenal – especially the performance in the second half, in which they sought an equalizer, after being two goals behind on the scoreboard – and against Leeds, last Monday, as a hope to save the year.
